Not the SPAM I'm looking for...

I keep getting SPAM emails with subjects along the lines of "How to get any woman into bed."

Yeah, not terribly useful to me (monogamous and loving it, ya know). What I want to see is an email with the subject line "How to get any woman to take her clothes off for photography."

I get spam saying FedEx tried to leave a package and I wasn't home, click here to arrange delivery. Which is obviously phishing. I'm close to having the FedEx abuse address memorized.

I don't suppose there's a naked woman abuse address. . . .

Yes, it's called the Police Department.

Oh, wait, you don't mean THAT kind of abuse, sorry...

I have a friend who is a Boudoir photographer who has been doing various states of undress and nudes for about 30 years...his secret? He just asks....

He told me I am beautiful and that he wanted to photograph me for free...I met him twice and looked at his work then did a shoot...that simple...we are getting ready to do another shoot soon...

Yeah, that does help. ;-) A bit intimidating, though. Even after nearly 25 years of doing it myself, it's still hard to ask, especially someone I've just met.

I've asked random strangers at parties if they would mind modeling for me. Mind you, there's already kind of an in there, since we obviously are cool enough to have friends in common (and thus be at the same party)... But yeah - straight up asking people often works.

Cool. Thanks. Good to know.

I just posted on the "Or It Didn't Happen" FB page about some projects I'm thinking about. I find that having something definite in mind makes me feel less like I'll be branded a perv for asking women to get naked for me. ;-)

I would imagine that an important way to establish your legitimacy might be to have a way for them to look at your photography of other women and see that it's not porn. A Web site might work, especially if they have access to the Web where you meet them—less bulky than carrying around a portfolio! Though lironess's "met him and looked at his work" has the same effect, with a little more inconvenience and delay.

I have a web site, but I don't like it. I really need to find some other solution quickly, though, because renewal time is coming up, and I really DON'T want to renew with the service I have.

But yes, portfolio/web site is definitely a good tool to use in this kind of situation.
