GeekFest was awesome!

This past weekend was my second trip to Seattle, WA, for the second annual Seattle Browncoats' GeekFest. Despite what I said in this post, I wasn't the only one who performed both days; Hello, The Future! also had a set on Sunday by popular demand. As usual, she was awesome.

The performances were in the main auditorium on Saturday, but for Sunday, they moved the first three acts (myself, HTF, and Firebird's Children) to the stage in the vendor area, and that worked out very well. The vendors were happy to be able to hear the performances, and the shoppers were happy to be able to listen and shop at the same time. Also, both HTF's and my CD sales went up* (I don't think Firebird's Children had anything for sale).

Also, there will be video! K Wiley did multi-camera video of all the performances, and he got the files to me before the end of the day on Sunday, so I have lots of video to play with. This makes me happy.

As I mentioned on the FB page, I sold completely out of Geek Mythology fairly early on Sunday and had to resort to having people order it from the CDBaby ordering page. Fortunately, that worked out fairly well. I also sold out of the copies of Just Me and My Guitar v2.0 and Mirrors that I had brought with me, but that was fairly late in the day, so that didn't affect my sales quite so much.

I also took a bunch of photographs of various performers throughout the weekend. I haven't processed them yet, but when I do, I'll be putting them up at the Or It Didn't Happen Photography website.

I had a blast! If they do this again next year, I will totally be there.

*Although HTF's sales were something like four times mine in terms of dollar amount. I'm thinking I need more t-shirts and hoodies in my inventory. ;-)

Glad you had a good time on your trip!

Speaking of geekery, are you possibly interested in some Star Wars later?

Maybe, yeah. Give me a call when you feel like playing, and I'll let you know.

Off Topic, but do you have a calendar for sale this year?

Yeah, but it's the same one, just for 2013. I thought about making a new one, but I made the UnCommon Women one in 2008, and I've sold less than a half-dozen.
